About What2Book

Here’s a hot take: just because an attraction is crowded doesn’t automatically mean it’s overrated.

Unlike almost every other travel blog, app, or influencer post shouting “hidden gem!” from the rooftops, What2Book doesn’t tell you where to go. We assume you already know what you want to see, and that crowds don’t scare you. In fact, you might even secretly enjoy the buzz of being surrounded by hundreds of other awestruck humans.

Sure, there’s something magical about ducking into a little side street café, stumbling upon a local art gallery, or finding that one perfect view no one else seems to know about. And yes, avoiding the endless lines can feel like a personal victory. But let’s be honest: there’s also something undeniably worth it about the so-called “tourist traps.” Whether you’re tilting your head back under the jaw-dropping ceilings of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, standing atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or getting delightfully lost in the halls of the Uffizi in Florence—these places are famous for a reason.

That’s where we come in. What2Book isn’t here to tell you if you should go; we’re here to make sure you actually can. Our mission is simple: give you the clearest, most up-to-date information on what needs to be booked, when you should book it, and exactly how to do it. So you never find yourself peering through the gates at something you flew halfway around the world to see.

Crowds? Fine. Lines? Tolerable.
But missing out entirely? Not gonna happen.

About Raphael

About Raphael

What2Book was founded in August 2025 by Raphael Tingley after a trip to Lisbon turned into a scavenger hunt for booking advice—one that led through half-buried Reddit threads, outdated TripAdvisor posts, and conflicting tips from strangers on the internet. The frustration? No clear answer on how far in advance to snag tickets for the most sought-after attractions (and a snippy girlfriend). The solution? Build a site that cuts through the noise and makes planning simple, accurate, and stress-free.

Raphael lives in Denver, Colorado, and enjoys rooting for the San Francisco Giants, doing crosswords in cafes, and of course, planning his next big trip.
